"SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The United Auto Workers has walked away from concession talks with General Motors Corp. over a dispute on payments to a retiree health-care fund, according to a report published Saturday.
The Associated Press, citing an unnamed source, reported that the break in talks comes at a critical time for GM, which is scheduled to submit an update on its restructuring plan to the government by Tuesday."
Even though the two have always needed couples counseling, one might think that the UAW would alter its modus operandi concerning it's dealing with an employer which is near-bankrupt. But NOOOOO. Unions are myopic with no self-control, to the point of being parasitic.
In biological terms, a parasite will feed off of and sicken its host until that host dies. Then they both die. UAW: did you fail biology?
But after GM dies, taking its employees and hopefully the UAW with it, what next? A federal bailout for the UAW? Probably. After all, the real sweethearts in this have always been the unions and the Democrats.
