The Exploiters of Race and Faith Never Miss an Opportunity

Here we go. It's Easter; a time for resurrection. A resurrection of the plea for the Buck. And let's be clear: they're asking for money, with no specifics of the purpose for its use.

I guess the pastor wants a new ride... or he's taking advice from Obama's political advisers.

In Easter Sermon, New Obama Pastor Charges Rev. Wright Victim of ‘Lynching’ - America’s Election HQ:
"The new pastor of Barack Obama’s church delivered a defiant defense of its retiring reverend Sunday, comparing media coverage of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to a modern-day lynching that resembles Jesus’ death at the hands of the Romans.

"...The criticism surrounding Wright has not softened the services at Trinity United Church of Christ, where Obama has been a congregant for 20 years. Instead, Moss defiantly defended their method of worship, referencing rap lyrics to make his point.”If I was Ice Cube I’d say it a little differently — ‘You picked the wrong folk to mess with,’” Moss said to an enthusiastic congregation, standing up during much of the sermon, titled “How to Handle a Public Lynching.

"...Moss issued several pleas to congregants to donate to what he called the “Resurrection Fund,” stressing that during this time of battle, money is needed to defend the church. He offered no additional specifics about the fund, telling churchgoers he didn’t want to get into it because Trinity is streaming the service live on the Web and the services are available for purchase on DVD.”

Logic: Blacks and Church and Public Office

Black opinion leaders defend the racist hate speech espoused in black churches across the country as simply being a natural part and history of the black church.

If we are to believe that speech such as that by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, which defiles America in general and whites in particular, and revels in the deaths of white Americans (he thought that the September 11 attacks were understandable), and that this sppech is endemic, usual, and a necessary part of the "black church experience," then how can we expect to produce from them anything other than a racist.

And if most blacks attend these churches at some time in their lives, then aren't most blacks taught that hatred of whites and racism against whites is not only condoned by their subculture, but called-for by God?

And if hatred of whites is condoned and God-approved in such a manner, doesn't that poison the mind of the congregant such that he cannot view things objectively?

And if one cannot view things objectively, actually despising an entire group of people for their skin color, doesn't that mean that person cannot represent the interests of all the people, but rather only the interests of the subculture which produced him?

And if this is the case, doesn't it easily follow that such a background should be automatic disqualification for consideration in public office, certainly for President of the United States?

Charles Krauthammer on Obama's hate Speech

Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post lucidly dissects Obama's defense of black hate speech, and in the process reveals why Obama's message of "change" is a fraud. An excerpt is below, but definitely worth a read.

Charles Krauthammer - The Speech: A Brilliant Fraud - washingtonpost.com:
"...This contextual analysis of Wright's venom, this extenuation of black hate speech as a product of white racism, is not new. It's the Jesse Jackson politics of racial grievance, expressed in Ivy League diction and Harvard Law nuance. That's why the speech made so many liberal commentators swoon: It bathed them in racial guilt while flattering their intellectual pretensions. An unbeatable combination.

"But Obama was supposed to be new. He flatters himself as a man of the future transcending the anger of the past as represented by his beloved pastor. Obama then waxes rhapsodic about the hope brought by the new consciousness of the young people in his campaign. Then answer this, Senator: If Wright is a man of the past, why would you expose your children to his vitriolic divisiveness? This is a man who curses America and who proclaimed moral satisfaction in the deaths of 3,000 innocents at a time when their bodies were still being sought at Ground Zero. It is not just the older congregants who stand and cheer and roar in wild approval of Wright's rants, but young people as well. Why did you give $22,500 just two years ago to a church run by a man of the past who infects the younger generation with precisely the racial attitudes and animus you say you have come unto us to transcend?"

Quote of the Week

The Double-Standard of Race in Politics

Blacks have an easier row to hoe in American Politics. Case in point: Obama attends a church for over 20 years where there is speech hating whites loudly professed from the pulpit, cheered on by the congregants. We are told that this is just endemic to the core of "black church," and therefore it's OK.

Any white Senator attending any organization even remotely approaching what happens in Obama's church would not just lose votes. but would be asked to resign from the Senate.

So where's the parity? Where are the rules the same?

Excerpts from a Reuters article are below. Full article can be read online by clicking the link below, or by clicking the picture to the left. Decide for yourself.

Views of Obama's pastor reflect black U.S. tradition | Reuters:
"Clips from sermons by Wright, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, have been repeated on television and widely viewed on the Internet and show Wright's vehement denunciations of U.S. policy and history over race.

In one sermon he uses the phrase: 'God damn America,' anathema to many in an intensely patriotic nation. The impact of his words is magnified by his raised voice and the grainy quality of much of the video.

Obama, an Illinois senator, attended Wright's church for two decades. His association with the pastor poses a problem because it casts doubt on his judgment, raises questions about his patriotism and undermines his reputation for honesty, according to commentators.

It also strikes at one of his core themes, allowing voters to ask how Obama could be a candidate of racial healing and unity when for two decades he was deeply involved with a preacher whose views appear to contradict that message."

Thar's Money in Them Thar Racists

I've said it here before: If you're down to your last dime and need to strike it rich, then mine for -isms - sexism, racism, etc etc, pick one, and claim to be repressed by the "power class" that held you down. It doesn't matter what you claim, just claim something. But given the history of the US (and distant history at that), racism is the easiest on which to build a career.

A case in point: Jeremiah Wright, pastor of the church attended by Barack Obama for 20-some years. When Wright saw a church in ruin, he saw an opportunity. Not for the souls he could assist, or to ease their spiritual suffering, but for the wallets he could loosen. And his stock-in-trade? Racism. Demonize whites and put a religious spin on it. It's easy - whites never object. Just like Hitler built his power on hatred of the Jews, so do self-proclaimed "pastors" such as Wright (and many others) inflame the fires of racism to ensure their own wealth and survival.

I don't know if Wright actually believes the filth that he proposes, but one thing's for certain: that the political success of the man at the center of this - Barack Obama - pretty much negates any charges of racism. After all, how can the country be racist when Obama - a black in the same church as Wright - is poised to become President of the United States, the most powerful man in the world?

Can't have it both ways. Unless the congregation is really, really stupid. Or hopelessly racist themselves.

Congregation Defends Obama's Ex-Pastor - washingtonpost.com:
"CHICAGO -- The Rev. Jeremiah Wright spent 36 years teaching this congregation how to recognize injustice, and his parishioners sense it all around them now. On Sunday, more than 3,000 of them filled Trinity United Church of Christ on the city's South Side to pray for their former pastor. They read a handout that described Wright's newfound infamy as a 'modern-day lynching.' They scrawled his name in tribute on the inside of their service programs and applauded as Wright's protege, the Rev. Otis Moss III, stepped to the pulpit."

Why Can't the Democrats Keep Their Pants On?

Geez, just when we were reeling from the Spitzer implosion, we find out that his lieutenant governor also is a wayward hubby; another Democrat with his pants down:

FOXNews.com - Report: New N.Y. Governor, Wife Admits Affair - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum:

"Gov. David Paterson, who took over New York state's top job after Eliot Spitzer resigned amid a prostitution scandal, has admitted he and his wife Michelle had affairs during a rough patch in their marriage several years ago, a newspaper reported."

Democrats and Morals

It seems pretty clear to me that the Democrats have entered a new phase in amorality. Let's go back in history and remember some names:

Elliott Spitzer (adultery, relations with a prostitute, alleged misappropriations of funds)
Bill Clinton (adultery of both his marriage and the Englis language - do you recall the definititon of "is?")
Barney Frank (allowed his love-boy-toy to operate a male protitution biz from his residence)
Joe Biden (plagiarist)
Gary Hart (adultery and rank stupidity)
Robert Kennedy (allegations of adultery - with his brother's mistress!)
Ted Kennedy (alleged manslaughter - Mary Jo Kapekne)
John Kennedy (alleged but well-known affairs with many)

And now for president:

Barack Obama (lying about his connections to racists such as Farrakhan and his pastor Jeremiah Wright). Here's a YouTube clip you have to see.
Hillary Clinton (does anyone really think she honestly made a couple of hundred thousand dollars in weeks from a "good investment?")

In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man

In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man

Gary Hubbell
February 9, 2008

There is a great amount of interest in this year’s presidential elections, as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates — a woman and an African-American — while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their party’s nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.

Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.

There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.

His common traits are that he isn’t looking for anything from anyone — just the promise to be able to make his own way on a level playing field. In many cases, he is an independent businessman and employs several people. He pays more than his share of taxes and works hard.

The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding.

He believes the Constitution is to be interpreted literally, not as a “living document” open to the whims and vagaries of a panel of judges who have never worked an honest day in their lives.

The Angry White Man owns firearms, and he’s willing to pick up a gun to defend his home and his country. He is willing to lay down his life to defend the freedom and safety of others, and the thought of killing someone who needs killing really doesn’t bother him.

The Angry White Man is not a metrosexual, a homosexual or a victim. Nobody like him drowned in Hurricane Katrina — he got his people together and got the hell out, then went back in to rescue those too helpless and stupid to help themselves, often as a police officer, a National Guard soldier or a volunteer firefighter.

His last name and religion don’t matter. His background might be Italian, English, Polish, German, Slavic, Irish, or Russian, and he might have Cherokee, Mexican, or Puerto Rican mixed in, but he considers himself a white American.

He’s a man’s man, the kind of guy who likes to play poker, watch football, hunt white-tailed deer, call turkeys, play golf, spend a few bucks at a strip club once in a blue moon, change his own oil and build things. He coaches baseball, soccer and football teams and doesn’t ask for a penny. He’s the kind of guy who can put an addition on his house with a couple of friends, drill an oil well, weld a new bumper for his truck, design a factory and publish books. He can fill a train with 100,000 tons of coal and get it to the power plant on time so that you keep the lights on and never know what it took to flip that light switch.

Women either love him or hate him, but they know he’s a man, not a dishrag. If they’re looking for someone to walk all over, they’ve got the wrong guy. He stands up straight, opens doors for women and says “Yes, sir” and “No, ma’am.”

He might be a Republican and he might be a Democrat; he might be a Libertarian or a Green. He knows that his wife is more emotional than rational, and he guides the family in a rational manner.

He’s not a racist, but he is annoyed and disappointed when people of certain backgrounds exhibit behavior that typifies the worst stereotypes of their race. He’s willing to give everybody a fair chance if they work hard, play by the rules and learn English.

Most important, the Angry White Man is pissed off. When his job site becomes flooded with illegal workers who don’t pay taxes and his wages drop like a stone, he gets righteously angry. When his job gets shipped overseas, and he has to speak to some incomprehensible idiot in India for tech support, he simmers. When Al Sharpton comes on TV, leading some rally for reparations for slavery or some such nonsense, he bites his tongue and he remembers. When a child gets charged with carrying a concealed weapon for mistakenly bringing a penknife to school, he takes note of who the local idiots are in education and law enforcement.

He also votes, and the Angry White Man loathes Hillary Clinton. Her voice reminds him of a shovel scraping a rock. He recoils at the mere sight of her on television. Her very image disgusts him, and he cannot fathom why anyone would want her as their leader. It’s not that she is a woman. It’s that she is who she is. It’s the liberal victim groups she panders to, the “poor me” attitude that she represents, her inability to give a straight answer to an honest question, his tax dollars that she wants to give to people who refuse to do anything for themselves.

There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush.

He hopes that she will be the Democratic nominee for president in 2008, and he will make sure that she gets beaten like a drum.
